I'm Kyle Spaans and this is my site. See my interests, in the form of a DOT directed graph. That's just an outline though, I'm interested in a lot more (see the cool software for example). Take my schooling as another example. I'm currently working towards a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computational Math at the University of Waterloo. I'm leaning heavily towards Computer Science, as you can see from my course flow graph, but that's just because I know I'll enjoy those classes. I'm interested in systems software, and potentially systems research, in areas like kernels, security, servers, and file systems. Tangential to systems software, I'm aspiring towards applying the powers of computers and computability to computationally intensive problems, specifically through accessible systems like the Beowulf Cluster. That is to say, I'm interested in High Performance Computing. I'd like to work in a Science / Research & Technology place, but I'm not as interested in the science itself per se, but moreso letting dumb computers do the heavy lifting so that us smartfolk can do the fun stuff. Here is my GPG public key and my resume.

Blog

My blog is thusly.

Why a cheesy website?

Obviously because cheese is awesome. Also because I think it's fun to have a small place to put things, where others can see.

Why this cheesy domain name?

It's my dad's domain. It means East in Cree. I don't mind.

Projects

Have a look at my projects page for the Spring 2008 term. I'll carry a lot of these over into the future, but it's what I'm trying to work on right now.

Links

My del.icio.us page is where I store all of the links I find on the net. Though, you'll notice on my projects page I'm working on changing that.
